I am a 22 year old English Literature and German student, currently on my year abroad masquerading as a Foreign Language Assistant.
I have been placed in a beautiful little town in South West Germany, not far from Stuttgart (...in private I affectionately call my town, G town massive. Shh.), and I work in a local Gymnasium, which is a Grammar school for those who don't know the ins and outs of the German school system.
In all fairness, I think it is probably apt to point out that I actually am the village idiot.
When I am not making a fool of myself in Deutschland, I rave about poetry to all who will listen, which is probably unfortunate for many, and mildly amusing for some. I have the uncanny ability to make up facts in my head and believe them, drink horrendous amounts of gin and feel human, drink one tequila and forget I exist, sound like I'm being tortured when I sing and talk the hind legs off a donkey.
All of these views are clearly my own, and there is no offence meant when moaning about Germany and German culture; I am just a whinge bag.
